Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Account data: email address and a salted hash of your password (never the password itself).

Compliance and security records: the policies and versions you accepted, with the date, time, IP address and browser user agent at the moment of acceptance; sign-in, verification and security events with IP address and user agent.

Billing data: handled by Stripe. We receive your Stripe customer ID, subscription status, plan and renewal date, and the billing country/address you give Stripe for tax. We never see or store full card numbers.

Usage: technical logs needed to run and secure the Service.

2. Why we use it

To provide the Service and your subscription (contract); to verify your email and protect accounts against abuse and fraud (legitimate interest); to keep evidence of your acceptance of our terms and to meet tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation / legitimate interest); to send service and billing emails.

3. Sharing

We share data only with processors that run the Service: Stripe (payments, tax), Vercel (web hosting), ngrok (secure connection to our servers) and our email provider (Spacemail) for verification and service emails. We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising.

4. Retention

Account data is kept while your account exists. Consent and security records are kept for up to 6 years after account closure as evidence and for legal claims. Billing records are kept as required by tax law.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, and to object to or restrict processing. Contact contact@theilker.com. You may also complain to your data-protection authority.

6. Security

Passwords are hashed with scrypt; connections use TLS; access to our systems is restricted by secrets and roles. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify you of a breach affecting your data where the law requires.

7. Cookies

We use one strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout pages. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
